During the event, Kusum Group of Pharmaceutical Companies CEO Rajeev Gupta expressed his gratitude to the university leadership for initiating this project and emphasized its importance for Ukraine’s future. He also announced the company’s intention to donate state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment produced by Gyrotonic Rotterdam to the Educational and Rehabilitation Center, which closely cooperates with the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine. This contribution will significantly enhance the center’s capacity to support the physical recovery of military personnel.
“It is a great honor for us to join an initiative that helps our defenders return to full lives. Physical rehabilitation is not just about health — it’s about belief in the future and the strength of community,” — said Rajeev Gupta.
The Gyrotonic® system is a cutting-edge approach to rehabilitation. The equipment is designed to gently decompress the spine, improve joint mobility, and restore muscular balance, which is especially critical for individuals recovering from trauma or long-term physical stress. Its unique ability to tailor movement sequences to the specific needs of each user makes it an invaluable tool in the rehabilitation of wounded soldiers and athletes alike.
In his speech, Mr. Gupta also highlighted the urgent need to address both the physical and psychological rehabilitation of soldiers, especially amid the ongoing war. According to him, Ukrainian defenders return from the frontlines bearing tremendous physical and emotional burdens, and society must provide them with systematic, professional support. Projects like this one are a true reflection of care, gratitude, and responsibility on the part of the state, business, and the academic community.
