Destruction of the Kusum Group Pharmaceutical Warehouse in Kyiv Following aHostile Drone Attack
Kyiv, April 12, 2025 — On the morning of April 12, 2025, the warehouse of the Kusum Group of Pharmaceutical Companies (the pharmaceutical warehouse of Gladpharm Ltd.) in Kyiv was completely destroyed as a result of a direct hit by a hostile Russian drone.
The warehouse contained finished medicinal products, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients used in drug manufacturing, as well as newly installed production equipment. The total damage is estimated at approximately UAH 1 billion.
This is a major financial loss for our company. However, most importantly, none of our employees were injured.
The Kusum Group of Pharmaceutical Companies strongly condemns the terrorist actions of the Russian aggressors, who continue to deliberately target critical civilian infrastructure — including enterprises that provide the population with life-saving medications. These attacks are part of an attempt to intimidate the Ukrainian people and provoke a humanitarian catastrophe.
But the spirit of the Ukrainian people cannot be broken.
We are doing everything in our power to restore the supply of our medicines as quickly as possible. Our top priority now is to ensure uninterrupted treatment for patients who rely on our products every day.
We are sincerely grateful to all state institutions and their leaders, as well as to our partners — both in Ukraine and abroad — for their support and the assistance they have offered during this difficult time. We would also like to extend special thanks to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) for their professionalism and courage.
The Kusum Group of Pharmaceutical Companies will emerge from this crisis even stronger, and we will continue working tirelessly to ensure that Ukrainians have access to high-quality and affordable medicines.
Thank you for standing with us.
